Moore Inspired By The Dixie Chicks
Controversial movie maker MICHAEL MOORE has credited country trio THE DIXIE CHICKS among those who inspired him to make US President GEORGE W BUSH-bashing movie FAHRENHEIT 9/11.
Moore plans to include the group's TRAVELIN' SOLDIER song on a new CD of music that inspired him while he was making the hit documentary.
Moore, who serves as executive album producer, has written song-by-song commentary for SONGS + ARTISTS THAT INSPIRED FAHRENHEIT 9/11.
The album also features songs by BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN, BOB DYLAN and THE CLASH.
The Dixie Chicks, who caused a storm of controversy when they blasted Bush at a London show in 2002, will also appear alongside the likes of Springsteen, REM and PEARL JAM at the closing night of the VOTE FOR CHANGE tour in Washington DC next month (OCT04).16/09/2004 21:35
