Mensa's Challenge To Stars Turned Down
GWYNETH PALTROW and JERRY SEINFELD have ignored a tempting intellectual challenge offered by super-brainy society MENSA.
The society, which "welcomes people from every walk of life whose IQ is in the top 2 per cent of the population", is keen to promote The NEW YORK HALL OF SCIENCE's new exhibit, BRAIN: THE WORLD INSIDE YOUR HEAD.
Mensa has come up with ten questions sure to stump all but the brightest, and offered the challenge to American celebrities including Paltrow, Seinfeld and mogul DONALD TRUMP, magazine gurus TINA BROWN and ANNA WINTOUR, notorious publicist LIZZIE GRUBMAN, designer OSCAR DE LA RENTA and 'It-girl' NICKY HILTON.
The only problem with the idea is no-one seems interested in attempting the cranium-confounding quiz.
A publicist promoting the challenge grins, "Not one celebrity has gotten back to us, with the exception of KEVIN BACON's people, who misspelled 'brain' in their letter to us!"28/05/2003 13:38
