McConaughey's Fond Farewell To Chipmunk Co-Star
Matthew Mcconaughey grew so fond of his chipmunk co-star in new movie FAILURE TO LAUNCH, he insisted on staging a proper funeral service for the critter when she died during filming.
The highly-trained animal had to pretend to bite the movie hunk in the romantic comedy, but that didn't stop him from falling in love with the chipmunk.
And when the creature died, he was devastated.
MCConaughey says, "Everyone in the woods gets really quiet, whispering, 'The chipmunk died, the chipmunk died. She was number one. She had her SAG (Screen Actors Guild) card and everything.'"
