McCartney's Wife Sued Over Childhood Abuse Story
SIR PAUL McCARTNEY's wife HEATHER MILLS is being sued for $95,000 (GBP50,000) by a childhood friend for reportedly inventing a story that they were both held hostage by a paedophile.
MARGARET AMBLER has issued a writ claiming the ex-BEATLE's spouse breached her privacy after recalling their indecent assault and kidnapping at the hands of their swimming coach during the 1970s in her 2003 autobiography A SINGLE STEP.
According to the suit, Ambler was "extremely distressed and upset" to have been identified in the book and denies they were held hostage in his flat by their abuser.
The writ says, "The private information was mixed with a substantial amount of false and invented information which served to sensationalise and distort the private information which was published."29/05/2005 14:37
