McCartney To Appear On American Idol

Sir Paul McCartney is the latest pop legend in line to guest judge on hit TV talent show American Idol.

The former BEATLES singer is in talks with TV bosses to make an appearance on the reality contest, following SIR Elton John's controversial guest slot, in which he accused the format of being racist.

There are also reports another rock legend - BOB DYLAN - is scheduled to appear on the show next year (04).

A show insider says, "Sir Paul was approached a while ago and is definitely interested in coming on the show.

"There is still a lot to be sorted out, but it would be a major coup if we get him on the show."
