McCartney Drives Off With Lexus

SIR PAUL McCARTNEY will spend two-and-a-half months on the road in America with car giants Lexus this autumn (05).

The former BEATLE has announced plans to perform 28 shows, beginning with a concert in Miami, Florida, on 16 September (05), where the rocker hasn't performed for 15 years.

McCartney has also booked shows at New York's Madison Square Garden, Chicago's United Center and Las Vegas' MGM Grand Garden Arena before wrapping up the Lexus-sponsored tour in Los Angeles at the end of November (05).

McCartney last toured North America in 2002, when he was the top touring artist in the world, grossing $126 million (GBP66.3 million) from 58 shows, according to Billboard Boxscore.
