Mary J Pays Tribute To Music Teacher

Mary J Blige has paid tribute to her favourite teacher in a new public service announcement.

The Family Affair diva admits she will always have a special place in her heart for her old music teacher MISS SWEENEY, and jumped at the chance to appear in a new SAVE THE MUSIC PSA - aimed at saving music lessons in America's schools.

Blige says, "When everybody else was like, 'You can't sing,' Miss Sweeney was like, 'You can sing.'

"She was always pushing us and making us feel like we could, so thank you Miss Sweeney."
