Martin Gives Hung His Seal Of Approval

Ricky Martin has given American Idol reject WILLIAM HUNG his seal of approval - despite the wannabe's frightful rendition of his hit track SHE BANGS.

Hung rose to notoriety in America when he bleated his version of Martin's 2000 song, which left judges Simon Cowell, Paula Abdul and Randy Jackson in fits of laughter.

While Hong Kong native Hung was instantly ejected from the TV contest, he has gone on to score a record contract - releasing his version of She Bangs as a single - and currently has an album in America's top 40.

And Martin has nothing much encouragement for Hung.

He says, "Rock 'n' roll! Good for him. He's got to enjoy what he's doing. All the best William!"
