Manics Try To Keep School Open
Welsh rockers Manic Street Preachers have launched an appeal to save their old school, after falling pupil numbers have threatened it with closure.
Singer James Dean Bradfield, bassist Nicky Wire, drummer SEAN MOORE and troubled guitarist RICHEY EDWARDS, who mysteriously disappeared in 1995, met at OAKDALE COMPREHENSIVE SCHOOL, south Wales, when they were teenagers.
And the three remaining members of the hitmaking band are desperate to preserve to education establishment for future generations.
Wire says, "We're very sad this school is earmarked for closure."
