Malkovich Plays Kubrick Conman

JOHN MALKOVICH is to play the conman who convinced Britain he was reclusive movie mogul STANLEY KUBRICK in the early 1990s in a new film.

The BEING JOHN MALKOVICH star will play ALAN CONWAY in new film COLOUR ME KUBRICK, alongside British comedian JIM DAVIDSON, HONOR BLACKMAN and RICHARD E GRANT.

The Harrow travel agent, who reportedly died from cardiac thrombosis just months before Kubrick's death in 1999, conned top British entertainers, actors and film critics into thinking he was the movie genius behind films like APOCALYPSE NOW and A CLOCKWORK ORANGE.

COLOUR ME KUBRICK is released in France next month (DEC05) before a worldwide release in early 2006.
