Lydon Made Rotten Reality Tv Decision, Say Fans
Punk fans are furious Sex Pistols frontman John Lydon has agreed to take part in a reality TV show, accusing the pioneer of the 70s movement of succumbing to mediocrity.
To the dismay of the ANARCHY IN THE UK band's longtime supporters, the angry singer - originally known as JOHNNY ROTTEN for his damning outlook on Britain and politics - has signed up as a contestant on hit show I'M A Celebrity ... GET ME OUT OF HERE!
One mortified fan tells website MYTELUS: "The announcement made me feel instantly old. If it has come to this for the prince of punk, then mediocrity really does get us all in the end."
However, legendary music entrepreneur TONY WILSON is convinced Lydon's motive for spending a fortnight in the jungle with a group of celebrities will become clear when the programme airs.
He says, "I'm gobsmacked. I'm shocked, but I have faith... I'm sure he's doing it for the right reasons."
