Luther Vandross Gets Designing

Soul crooner Luther Vandross is flashing his skills in a new arena -
clothes designing.

The NEVER TOO MUCH singer has been recruited by pal Aretha Franklin is put
together a couple of outfits for her upcoming tour of America - set to be her
last major outing.

Franklin, who will also be donning outfits by VALENTINO, Donna Karan,
HALSTON and BILL BLASS, coos, "Luther has designed two of the most fabulous
gowns I've ever seen."

Franklin says she first spotted Vandross' handiwork on his back-up singers
at a Detroit, Michigan, concert.

She adds, "He might have missed his calling. He's every bit as fabulous
designing as he is singing."
