Loved Ones Frontman Dies

The Loved Ones frontman GERRY HUMPHRIES has died in London following a heart attack. He was 63.

The EVERLOVING MAN hitmaker formed The Loved Ones in Australia in 1965 and despite a string of influential hits, the band split just two years later (67).

Australian acts, including Inxs, ED KUEPPER and Jet have covered the band's hits.

After briefly forming JERRY AND THE JOY BOYS in 1977, Humphries returned to his native Britain and became a hospital orderly.

The Loved Ones reformed for a one-off Australian tour and album in 1987.
