Liberty X Slammed For 'Dangerous' Video
Pop group LIBERTY X have been slammed by British safety chiefs, after filming their new video on a railway line.
The promo for new single EVERYBODY CRIES shows the fivepiece, JESSICA TAYLOR, MICHELLE HEATON, KELLI YOUNG, KEVIN SIMM and TONY LUNDON - strolling on train tracks and narrowly avoiding injury when a pile of garbage is dumped behind them.
But the video has provoked anger from the RAIL SAFETY AND STANDARDS BOARD, who fired off a letter to the band's management, accusing them of promoting trespassing and vandalism, and encouraging kids to play on railway lines.
The letter reads, "It's puzzling why you would be so irresponsible and allow the group to engage in a potentially life-threatening activity."
But the group have hit back - insisting they were never in danger during the shoot.
A spokesperson reveals, "The video was filmed on a disused railway line, so the band were perfectly safe."13/01/2004 02:07
