Committed Scientologist JULIETTE LEWIS is angry at the way the controversial religion is portrayed in the media - because she would never subscribe to a restrictive, controlling faith.
The actress-turned-singer is baffled by the negative image Scientology has, because it has encouraged her to be an independent and strong person.
She says, "Whatever the media writes about Scientology would go against what you would think of me. But I'm fiercely independent and defiant and its all the stuff that I've done in Scientology that has helped reinforce that and make me even more of an individual.
"And it's a true non-conformist religion, its just the media makes it really negative."

| What Ms. Lewis says is simply untrue. I was a non comformist. Iin 1972 I got into scientology. In 1971 I got my girlfriend into scientology. In 1976 we got married. We had three children. In 1990, I left scientology because I came to understand that the scientology is hell-bent on ruling the world. In such a world, anyone who disagrees with "command intention" would be stripped of all rights. This threat out weighs any possible benifits. I was declared a supressive person in 2002. My kids have not spoken to me since. If they ever do speak to me, they too will be declared suppressive persons. See xenu.com for more information. | ||
