Lethal Weapon Star Arrested

LETHAL WEAPON star Danny Glover has been arrested outside the Sudan Embassy in Washington during a heated protest march.

After the incident in the African country yesterday (25AUG04) Glover was charged with disorderly conduct and unlawful assembly after he spoke to a crowd calling for a peacekeeping force to stop violence in western Sudan.

He says, "We want an end to the hostility.

"We must continue to put pressure on the Sudanese government. We must continue to demand justice and we must continue to demand peace for the people of Dafur."

The UNITED NATIONS has called the situation in Sudan's Dafur area the worst humanitarian crisis in the world - which includes one million people fleeing attacks by pro-government Arab militias.
