Lennon's Killer Set For Tv Interview
JOHN LENNON's killer MARK DAVID CHAPMAN is preparing to discuss the rock legend's death on TV for the first time, as part of an upcoming British documentary.
CHANNEL 4 bosses have requested a meeting with Chapman in New York's Attica Prison for a film to mark the 25th anniversary of the IMAGINE icon's tragic demise.
The one-off special, I KILLED JOHN LENNON, will also feature audio footage of an interview Chapman, now 50, gave journalist JACK JONES.
A Channel 4 spokesperson says, "This would be the first TV interview he has done. It will be a fascinating glimpse into the mind of a killer."
Chapman shot Lennon dead outside the Dakota building in Manhattan - where the former BEATLE lived with his wife YOKO ONO - in December, 1980.09/05/2005 02:21
