Lennon 'Yearned To Renew Affair Before Death'

John Lennon's former lover MAY PANG was devastated when the beatle died in 1980 - because he told her he wanted to renew their affair, weeks before his tragic assassination.

Pang enjoyed a two-year romance with Lennon following his separation from Yoko Ono in 1973.

But she has slammed claims their relationship ended in 1975, when he returned to Ono, insisting he was desperate to continue their affair because he still loved her.

She says, "John and I saw or talked to each other right up until his death. We were still in love.

"I was in my apartment in 1980, the last thing he said was, 'I'm trying to figure a way to get you to come out and see me. I miss you. I just need you.'"

Well Well Well My how May changes her story. In her Book "Loving John" published in 1983, she said the affair was over in 1975. In 2002 she appeared in the New York Post as being "shocked to find out" that Lennon was still thinking about her according to author Robert Rosen (Nowhere Man) who claims he read John's diarys and said John was pining for her. I find too many inconsistancies in May's reports to take her seriously. Every interview she gives tells a different story. I would suggest people take what she says with a lot of salt as no one can vouche for her claims, in fact most people who were also there through the lost weekend dispute most of them. What is she trying to prove? The only thing I see her proving is what a fool she can make of herself.
