Ledger Tipped To Be 'Younger' Bond
Australian movie hunk HEATH LEDGER has emerged as a new favourite to replace PIERCE BROSNAN as JAMES BOND.
Earlier this week (begs5APR04) HUGH JACKMAN was tipped to be the new 007, after actor MICHAEL MADSEN let slip his neighbour Brosnan had "been bought out" of the franchise and was being replaced by an Australian.
But now the NED KELLY star is being touted as a much younger replacement for the 50-year-old Irishman.
A Hollywood source reveals, "Heath Ledger is the man they want. Even the big money men, who have their fingers on the pulse as well as their wallets, back this one.
"EON (the company behind Bond films) want to go in a new direction with 007, with a younger Bond for a younger audience."11/04/2004 10:48
