Latin Grammy Nominees Announced

The fourth annual LATIN GRAMMY nominations have been dominated by producer SERGIO GEORGE and singer-songwriter JUANES.

It was announced yesterday (22JUL03) that Sergio, who wrote BACILOS's MI PRIMER MILLION, has received six nominations - including record, song and album of the year - while Columbian Juanes has five - including best pop album by a duo or group with vocal.

Other multiple nominees for the Miami-based 3 September (03) ceremony include GUDTAVO SANTAOLALLA, with five, and NATALIA LADOURCADE and ANIBAL KERPEL who have four nominations each.

The awards show will include a special tribute to salsa queen, CELIA CRUZ, who died last week (begs14JUL03) and was buried in New York yesterday (22JUL03).
