Latifah And Hudson Land Sitcom Deals

New mum KATE HUDSON and rapper-turned-actress QUEEN LATIFAH have both signed up to produce their own sitcoms.

CHICAGO star Latifah is executive producing WHOT, a new take on '70s series WKRP IN CINCINNATI, where a young white woman gets hired as the manager for a hip-hop station.

Hudson's show - I DO, I DID, NOW WHAT? - is based on the bestselling book by JENNY LEE, focusing on couples after they marry.

If given the go-ahead to be made into full series, both shows will air in American TV network UPN.
