Knopfler Gets Digital For Downloading First
Former Dire Straits leader Mark Knopfler is set to make history on his upcoming world tour by becoming the first major label artist to offer fans the chance to legally download concerts 24 hours after he performs them.
The British rocker has teamed up with Crowfly Digital Entertainment to offer up the deal, which will cost fans $14.99 (GBP8.35).
Shows will be recorded and mixed hours after Knopfler performs and made available via his official website Markknopfler.com.
The first concert to be made available to fans will be Knopfler's performance at Nashville, Tennessee landmark the Ryman Auditorium tonight (13JUL05).
