Knightley Eyes Up New Career As Bricklayer

Movie beauty KEIRA KNIGHTLEY has made certain she has a career to fall back on should acting not work out - she plans on becoming a bricklayer.

The PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN star, who earns $2.85 million (GBP1.5 million) per film, has already begun looking into finding a suitable training program in case she soon becomes unemployed.

She says, "Everyone laughs when I say I'm looking into bricklaying. But I decided if an apocalypse ever comes I'd like to be a skilled labourer and not be left behind at a campfire making gruel.

"My friend's looking for a job and we discovered you can get GBP15 to GBP30 an hour for bricklaying.

"I've found the courses and the moment I have some spare time I want to do it. I'm sure I can find a positive experience in laying bricks."
