Kidman's Commercial Payday
Hollywood star NICOLE KIDMAN has been paid a staggering $3.4 million (GBP2 million) to star in a television commercial for CHANEL perfume.
Kidman, who last year (03) signed a $7.5 million (GBP4.7 million) deal to promote the cosmetic giant, plays a superstar being pursued by the paparazzi in the four-minute ad - which was shot in Sydney, Australia by MOULIN ROUGE! movie-maker BAZ LUHRMANN.
A spokesperson for Chanel defends the decision to splash out the huge sum on the star, "She was chosen because she represents a unique standard of elegance."
The sophisticated advert is believed to be the most lucrative package ever offered to an actor for advertising work.05/01/2004 18:35
