Keys: Child Of The 70s
American star Alicia Keys may have been born in 1981 - but she should have been making music in the 1970s.
The GIRLFRIEND singer's musical blending of jazz, classical, soul and R+B has been inspired by her music collection, which dates from MOZART and Beethoven to seventies hits.
Keys explains, "Most of the songs I listen to are really old. They inspire me.
"I often think there's been a mistake and I'm not supposed to be here, I'm supposed to be doing music in the '70s.
"Part of me thinks that I had a previous life. Maybe I was TAMMI TERRELL! Now wouldn't that be cool?"
