Keating Shocked By Label Lies

Irish singing star RONAN KEATING has accused his record company of making up derogatory comments about his former boyband BOYZONE.

Since Keating left the fivepiece in 1999 to pursue a solo career, he has been quoted in the media distancing himself from his former bandmates, and slamming their music.

But the 26-year-old insists many of the comments were fabricated by his label BMG. Of a press release in which he is reported to have said, "I'm so f***ing over all that Boyzone cr*p," Ronan says, "I would never say anything like that."

He explains, "The swearing is ok. But I'd never turn around and say Boyzone were cr*p. We made some excellent pop singles and we had a great craic."
