Joss Stone's Armed Robber Brother

British soul sensation Joss Stone has lifted the lid on her family secret - her half brother is a convicted armed robber.

The 19-year-old, who included a song about Daniel on her chart-topping album MIND, BODY AND SOUL, remains grateful to her semi-sibling because he always supported her singing ambitions.

She says of 26-year-old Daniel, "Everybody has made mistakes in their lives. The song about him kind of says everything I want to say.

"A lot has happened in his life and he has been through a lot."

Daniel was sent to prison in 2000 after attempting to hold up a post office with a hammer. He escaped jail in 2003, just two months before he was due to be paroled, and went on the run before being cornered by police following a high speed car chase. He was given a fresh prison sentence and was only recently released.
