Jonathan Rhys-Meyers Denies Bond Rumours
Hunky actor JONATHAN RHYS-MEYERS has laughed off rumours that he's auditioned to play super-smooth JAMES BOND - because he's too young.
The star of BEND IT LIKE BECKHAM was tipped to be in the running to take over from Irish actor PIERCE BROSNAN when he finally stops playing 007 - but the star insists it's not so.
He says, "I'm only 25. You've got to be in your thirties at least."
But the actor - currently filming VANITY FAIR opposite REESE WITHERSPOON - wouldn't mind taking on the role in the future.
He adds, "Who wouldn't? You get to drive great cars and bed great women."12/06/2003 01:50
