Johnny Cash Memorial Details Announced
LATEST: A public memorial service for legend Johnny Cash in Nashville, Tennessee will feature a galaxy of music stars.
Willie Nelson, Kris Kristofferson, Sheryl Crow, Steve Earle and Cash's daughter ROSANNE have all confirmed performances at the free event.
Organisers also hope to lure superstars Bob Dylan, Bruce Springsteen and U2 singer Bono to the service, to be held on 10 November (03) at the city's Ryman Auditorium, two days earlier than previous reports suggested.
Cash's manager LOU ROBIN says, "The family just wanted to give the public closure to their feelings about John's death."
Cash, 71, died on 12 September (03) of respiratory failure caused by complications from diabetes.
A private funeral took place on 15 September near his home in Hendersonville, Tennessee.
