Johnny Cash Leaves Hospital
Country music legend Johnny Cash is out of hospital after being treated for
pneumonia.
The 71-year-old BOY NAMED SUE singer was admitted to Baptist Hospital in
Nashville, Tennessee, on 10 March 2003.
He was released on Tuesday (01APR03) night, according to hospital
spokesperson JENNIFER JACKSON.
She says, "He's obviously doing much better. We wanted to make sure he was
completely better before we let him go."
Cash suffers from a condition called autonomic neuropathy, a disease of
the nervous system that makes him susceptible to pneumonia and bronchitis. The
condition has led to recurrent bouts of both illnesses and the star has been in
and out of
hospital since 1998.
