John Hurt On The Booze At Premiere

Veteran British actor JOHN HURT's well documented penchant for alcohol is showing no signs of abating - he reportedly turned up drunk to the premiere of his new movie.

The ALIEN star - who once confessed to drinking up to seven bottles of wine per day - arrived at Tuesday's (02SEP03) London premiere of CALENDAR GIRLS slurring his words.

According to British tabloid the DAILY EXPRESS, the 63-year-old actor bluffed his way through a TV interview before giving guests at the after-show party the impression he was poised to vomit.

An insider says, "He's a fantastic actor and the ultimate professional on set but out of hours he drinks a lot."
