Joe Jackson: The Media Want To Bring Down Michael

The father of pop superstar MICHAEL JACKSON says the child molestation allegations leveled against his son are part of a media campaign to ruin the singer.

Joe Jackson is furious the THRILLER superstar is the subject of a police investigation over charges he sexually abused teenager GAVIN ARVIZO. And Joe is confident the trial - due to begin in December (04) - will end with Michael being cleared of all the allegations.

Speaking on German television show BECKMANN, Joe says, "My son didn't do anything wrong.

"Everything will work out fine. I don't know who wants to harm Michael. But there are many people who would like to be the

superstar he is. But that's not possible. No one is like Michael."

The pre-recorded interview with Joe - who has had a famously tempestuous relationship with Michael - will be aired on TV station ARD tonight (19APR04).
