I have given this a lot of thought. I personally don't think that this matter about Janet Jackson secret child is anyone's business. It's a shame that she has to hide every detail of her life just to have a peace of mind. Now that I can see how people are behaving gives her a good reason to keep her life secretive or shall I say personal (to herself). Think about it, do you want your neighbors all in your affairs. No, because it's offensive. What are we proving if she does have a secret child? Absoulutely nothing!!! So I say leave her alone and let her do what she feels is best for her whether it's true or not. If it is true I am sure she has good reasons for keeping it a secret. I personally don't blame her one bit!!! Any child of hers will and must be protective from the wolves of the entertaiment world to keep a sense of peace and safety. I really wished she had not even went before the public to say anything at all because it's simply no ones business!!! Who do these people think they are to think that she or anyone else has to answer to these wolves!!! This is crazy!!!

Janet has her right to privacy and if she wanted to keep her daughter under wraps, that's her business and I believe that it was in the child's best interest to keep that a secret until she was 18. Yes it was unfair to the child to be deceived but it may have been for a very significant reason. Janet, keep doing your thing girl! You look good!!!

This news is no surprise to me. I was just saying to a co-worker about 3 months ago. I wonder why Janet never talks about that baby she had years ago by that DeBarge person? That child should be about 21/22 years old they have the age wrong,but this is true!!!!.I am 31 years old I was about 10 when all this stuff was going on , if I remember corretly she wasn't really hiding it,and it was'nt puplicized.I just really hope that she has a relationship with the child, because I'd really be upset knowing all these years I been living with my one hit wonder aunt(Centipede)and my mother is the s**t,sorry Rebbie,but I havent heard your name since the 80's.I guess you been busy raising Janet's daugther.I wonder if the child knows that Janet is her mother or does she think Rebbie is her mother? TRUST ME THIS IS NOT A RUMOR THIS IS SOME TRUE s**t!!!!!PLEASE COMENT.

I strongly agree, "Pebbles" is indeed ignorant. Also, Pebbles needs to NOT include God or religion in his/her comment. Infact, Pebbles needs therapy, spell check and he/she also needs to address some personal issues of his/her own! As for Janet, I love her music and her talent. People make decisions that they feel are best for themselves and their child(ren) daily. I'm sure that Janet and James feel that they did what was best for their child. Because Janet is a "star" her life is public just like Pebbles' ignorance and stupidity is now public knowledge! Pebbles, PLEASE DO NOT REPRODUCE AND PASS ON YOUR IGNORANT OUTLOOK TO CHILDREN. This is to whoever wrote the illiterate paragraph - who for one can't spell AND who is completely ignorant. It's people like you in this world who are teaching our children to hate and to be violent. if janet has a daughter that is her business she did the right thing no one wants their business out in the street if all that comes of it is negativity. thank Jehovah that she did not abort it. You people (media) need to find you some business and get your children from out of the drug housed from where you came. Go back and dig about how your great-great grandfather murdered and enslaved the african-americans including janet's ancestor. It truely does not surprise me. This has been talked about for years, and now all of a sudden it a major deal because this girl (Renee) really does exist. Janet did the right thing, considering all that she was going through at that particular time in her life. Her personal life has always be kept personal as ever, yes personal even to this day. Everyone wants to know this and that...but really what do you know???? She could have went about things from a totally different angle, yet she did the right thing by keeping her away from the drama of the media so that she could live a normal life. Im not judging Janet. I would imagine at a young age a close family's advise would impact a young girl decision on whether choicing a career or a child. It somewhat puts me in the mind of the movie "Double Platinum". I just hope that it just works out for the benefit of the child. I still support Janet in all endeavors and if the rumor is true, I just hope that the Jackoson family can endure it. Hey, they supported Micheal!

You are right, she has absolutely no obligation to reveal her family affairs to anyone. It is a shame that Young DeBarge needed to pump himself up by exposing something that was meant to be kept private.Despite the short marriage, they must have continued to have sex. I would guess ending the marriage was Joe's idea, not Janet's.

For the record, no said that Janet disowned her daughter, if in fact she does have a daughter. If she does have a daughter, and if her eldest sister raised her daughter, there is nothing wrong with that, I'm sure has taken care of her financially. Furthermore, it's no one else's business, Janet doesn't have acknowledge squat to the public. The media does nothing but report the negative anyway. janet if your reading, you do your thang. I think it is a shame that Janet has disowned her only child. This little girl must hate her at this point if she doesn't or hasn't acknowledge her. I feel sorry for people who choose money over their families, and if she did do this hideous thing, she has to go before the Almighty. All these years and no acknowledgement to the world about something as beautiful as a baby, she really has problems.

Janet is good at keeping her life personal. I believe herlife should be just that, Personal! If she has a daughter again, that's her business!!! It's apparent that there is some agenda if this is now being made public. I personally DON'T CARE one way or the other. Let her be. Quit living her life so deep. She is human and she's entitled to have skeletons in her closet. We all do. Janet if you're reading this. Whatever you do, however you choose to do it, I can't and WILL NOT judge you. I remember thinking when I heard that she had gotten married at such a young age and in a hurry that she must be pregnant. After they got an annulment, I figured that she lost the baby. Janet was heavy when Control came out. She wore the concealing black outfits for a minute. If the baby story is true, then it was obviously after baby weight. It is unfortunate that she gave into the pressure of the "powers that be" concerning her family or career. Although she choice that latter, I would hope, if the allegation is true, that she comes clean now for the sake of her "daughter". This child must feel rejected and confused. Although she was provided for by her Janet and her Aunt Rebbie, nothing can take the place of the bond that exist between a mother and daughter and all the lost first(s)i.e. steps, words, and etc. that Janet missed.
