Jamelia Fumes At Brit Bosses Over Awards Blunder
Pop babe JAMELIA is furious with BRIT AWARDS bosses for their Best British Single blunder - which forced them to put forward 10 nominees instead of the usual five.
The SEE IT IN A BOY'S EYES singer was originally nominated alongside BAND AID 20, WILL YOUNG, SHAPESHIFTERS, and LMC VS U2 in the award category, but after industry executives admitted they had miscalculated the amount of weeks in 2004, they added THE STREETS, NATASHA BEDINGFIELD, KEANE, GEORGE MICHAEL and SUGABABES to the list.
The stars will fight it out tonight (09FEB05) at the ceremony in London's Earls Court 2 venue.
Jamelia fumes, "I think my best chance of winning is the single category, but I wasn't too happy when the Brits announced an extra five singles in the category.
"I think that was rubbish. They've moved the goalposts completely."09/02/2005 03:00
