Jackson's Dad Causes Mob Scene Outside Court

Michael Jackson's confused father was caught up in a media mob outside the Santa Maria, California courthouse where his son has been fighting child molestation charges yesterday (06JUN05) - when he turned up unexpectedly and tried to make his way inside.

Joe Jackson arrived quietly, but was spotted by press as he greeted fans outside the courthouse.

As cameramen and reporters surrounded him, the Jackson family patriarch attempted to get away without the security team and family members that he usually arrives with.

It's believed Joe thought a verdict had been reached in the case and arrived to hear it.
