Irons' Singing Leaves Critics Unimpressed

Oscar-winner JEREMY IRONS' singing in a one-off stage production of musical CAMELOT has been heavily criticised by theatre critics.

The DEAD RINGERS star, who has had no formal training as a singer, turned in what many critics have described as a tuneless performance as KING ARTHUR at the Hollywood Bowl show in Los Angeles.

And, although Irons' acting was praised, his baritone singing voice left a lot to be desired.

The Los Angeles Times critic DARYL MILLER writes, "Hanging consistently beneath pitch, Irons pulled melodic lines out of shape and never looked comfortable."
