Iconic Duck To Receive Hollywood Star

Animated legend DONALD DUCK is being honoured with a star on Hollywood's WALK OF FAME beside celebrities like veteran rocker ROD STEWART and movie hunk ANTONIO BANDERAS.

The cartoon character is one of 32 stars - picked from hundreds of nominations - to be honoured in high profile ceremonies on Los Angeles' Hollywood Boulevard and Vine Street next year (05).

Honorary Hollywood mayor JOHNNY GRANT says, "The ceremonies for these artists will bring a lot of smiles and excitement to the local residents and to our visitors from around the world."

The WALT DISNEY creation will join movie recipients Banderas, KEVIN KLINE, JULIANNE MOORE, DENNIS QUAID and BEN STILLER.

Those receiving stars for recording will include Scottish singer Stewart, EMILIO ESTEFAN, BILLY JOEL, THE RIGHTEOUS BROTHERS and CARLY SIMON.
