Hucknall Hits On West End Stage

Simply Red frontman Mick Hucknall is following in the footsteps of Rod Stewart, Queen and Abba by creating a musical for the London stage, using all of his biggest hits.

The FAIRGROUND singer is currently reworking his favourite songs to incorporate a Latin feel and intends to use the music to tell a love story set in Cuba.

The show, named SIMPLY CUBAN, will be choreographed by Arlene Phillips, who currently stars as a judge on British TV show Strictly Come Dancing.

Phillips explains, "It will be a love story interwoven with events from Cuban history.

"It will be the Simply Red songs we all know but with a Latin feel, and lots of salsa."
