Hoskins' Feminine Inspiration
British actor BOB HOSKINS devised his own way to study acting, by watching women.
The WHO FRAMED ROGER RABBIT star tried his hand at method acting, but found a much simpler way to convey the human condition.
He says, "I read STANISLAVSKY and thought, well this is obvious, and I read LEE STRASBERG (method acting teacher) and I thought, this is b**locks.
"I noticed that drama is about those private moments when you're dealing with something really inside. I realised that men are useless at this. I just used to watch women. The way they reacted to things, the honesty."
