Hopper No Politician

Staunch Republican DENNIS HOPPER would never consider a career in politics, but would run against fellow actor and Democrat WARREN BEATTY. EASY RIDER star Hopper believes his well-known addictions to drink and drugs in the 1970s and 1980s would render him an inappropriate candidate. But he would run for office should Beatty, as is often reported, decide to stand as a Democrat candidate. Hopper says, "Listen, I would not be an asset to anyone's political career, believe me. "No, I'll tell you what - when Warren Beatty runs, I'll run against him! I'll bury you Warren! Under all those skirts!"
