Hewitt To Host Aids Benefit On Oscar Night
Actress JENNIFER LOVE HEWITT is to host a fundraiser for AIDS Project Los Angeles at West Hollywood gay haunt The Abbey on OSCARS night.
The GARFIELD star will join forces with ESQUIRE men's magazine for the benefit and she's calling the trendy bar Oscar Alley for the night.
It isn't the first time the nightspot has hosted the event, dubbed THE ENVELOPE PLEASE - the event has raised over $250,000 (GBP131,580) in previous years.
Hewitt, who will greet guests at the party, says, "Watching the ACADEMY AWARDS is the biggest co-ed sporting event in the world. This is a chance for us to watch it with our friends while we raise money."
But tickets for the bash don't come cheap - tables of 10 can be booked for between $2,500 (GBP1,315) and $10,000 (GBP5,260) each.08/02/2005 21:42
