Heidi Klum's Early Career Discouragement

Supermodel Heidi Klum is still astounded she ever found career success - because she was always told she'd never make it big.

The German beauty, who recently gave birth to daughter LENI, admits she received very few encouraging words from professionals in the modelling world early on in her career.

She says, "I never thought I'd make it this big. Bookers told me early in my career I'd never even be hired for clients like Victoria's Secret and SPORTS ILLUSTRATED."

She advises for aspiring supermodels, "You have to ignore people who tell you it's not possible and sometimes you have to kick yourself in your own butt."
