Heartbroken Melua Becomes Work-Obsessed

Singer Katie Melua has plunged into a gruelling work schedule to distract herself from her recent split from long-term love Luke Pritchard.

The sexy CLOSEST THING TO CRAZY hitmaker met Pritchard, who has a band called The Kooks, while studying music at the BRIT Performing Arts and Technology School in Croydon, England in 2002.

But since the split, Melua, 20, has been focused on her glittering career.

She says, "I've been busy. I've just come back from a gig in Copenhagen and I've been working on my second album.

"The last six months have been surreal."
