Headey Slams 'Gay Movie' Label

Actress Lena Headey has slammed reports her latest film IMAGINE ME + YOU is a 'gay movie', because it doesn't deserve such a stereotypical label. The 29-year-old claims people are wrong to categorise the girl-meets-girl comedy with gay cowboy drama Brokeback Mountain. She says, "It's not a gay movie. When it came out in the States everyone was asking if Brokeback Mountain had opened the door for this film, but they're completely different types of movie."

I couldn't agree more with you lena!! This movie is nothing like brokeback mountain.. cannot even be compared. This movie explores two people who fall in love, if it happens to be 2 women, so what?!?!?! that doesn't have to label it a "Gay" Targeted Movie. It doesn't target a gay society directly. Infact alot of my friends including myself, who are straight, have seen it, loved it and see it just as it is.... a sweet romance, with a whole lot of comedy and great acting. Does it really matter if the person that they fall in love with happens to be the same sex??? So Ya, I couldn't agree with you more lena. ROCK ON GIRL!!! your acting is fantastic

We here in Middle america have learned to call an ace an ace and a spade a spade. If you don't want to be labeled stop makeing gay movies. If not shut up and take it.You have the right to show your homosexual side. And we have the right to condem you for it.Like you condem us for being normal.

You're out of touch Hollybore. A lot of us don't care to see anything about gay people. It wouldn't be so bad if it wasn't shoved down our throats at every opportunity. If I ran into gay people as often in real life as I do in your make believe worlds, I'd be afraid for the future of mankind, (who'd be left to reproduce?)Enough of the gay stuff.
