Hayek Throws Party To Celebrate Pal's Movie

FRIDA star Salma Hayek was so thrilled with her close pal Mia Maestro's performance in the new movie Secuestro Express, she hosted a grand party for her on 3 August (05).

The Mexican beauty and Argentina-born Maestro have been pals ever since meeting in Spain more than a decade ago, and Hayek surprised her friend with an intimate celebration.

Hayek, who is also pals with the film's director JONATHAN JAKUBOWICZ, says, "I wanted to celebrate my friends. I can't tell you how proud I am of their wonderful work.

"Mia is one of the best actresses we have out there."

Maestro adds, "She's a sister to me. She's the warmest person I've ever met."

Guests at the bash included Eva Mendes, Robert Rodriguez, Quentin Tarantino and country star Dwight Yoakam.
