Hawkins Nurses Horrific Doughnut Injuries

The Darkness frontman Justin Hawkins has been left red-faced after breaking his ribs, tearing leg muscles and sustaining severe head injuries - after falling off a giant inflatable doughnut.

The GROWING ON ME star was being towed on a blow-up ring by a speed boat during a recent trip to Dubai, but his holiday ended abruptly when he was rushed to hospital after falling off the inflatable at high speed.

He explains, "I suppose I got a bit cocky. Unfortunately I was thrown off the ring and barely remember what happened next.

"I was a mess. All the skin was stripped off my knees and I've torn the big muscle in my right leg.

"It turned out I've also cracked two ribs too. I was as pale as a ghost and nearly passed out."
