HARRY POTTER AND THE GOBLET OF FIRE is Britain's most successful movie of 2005 - beating off competition from STAR WARS: EPISODE III - REVENGE OF THE SITH and CHARLIE AND THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY.
The fourth installment in the magical series creating by JK ROWLING has grossed GBP43 million ($77.4 million) at the UK box office since its release last month (NOV05) - GBP4 million ($7.2 million) more than Revenge Of The Sith with GBP39 million ($70.2 million).
TIM BURTON's remake of Charlie And The Chocolate Factory took GBP37.3 million ($67.1 million) to claim third spot.
WALLACE AND GROMIT: THE CURSE OF THE WERE-RABBIT and STEVEN SPIELBERG's WAR OF THE WORLDS round off the top five with end of year grosses of GBP31.8 million ($57.2 million) and GBP30.5 million ($54.9 million) respectively.
