Harry Connick Jr Stunned By Slow Aid Response
Jazz crooner Harry Connick Jr.believes enough isn't being done to help Hurricane Katrina's victims, a number of whom are still waiting to be evacuated.
Sadness and grief is turning into anger and outrage - particularly in Connick's native New Orleans - over the length of time it has taken to help residents out of their plight.
The singer says, "It seems awfully strange to me that people are dying because they don't have water. People are desperate. They are dying. They've got no help. They don't know that help is out there."
Connick was one of several stars - including LEONARDO DiCAPRIO, Chris Tucker, Kanye West, Tim Mcgraw and FAITH HILL - who took part in A CONCERT FOR HURRICANE RELIEF on Friday (02SEP05) to raise funds for the victims.
