Harrison Widow: Vegas Was Third Choice For Cirque Show'
GEORGE HARRISON's widow OLIVIA is relieved THE BEATLES-inspired Cirque du Soleil show has finally made it to the stage after a string of venue changes. Olivia admits LOVE, which opened this month (JUN06) at The Mirage in Las Vegas, Nevada, was originally supposed to be a London production, but got moved twice before opening. She says, "When George was alive, there was a plan to create it here in London. "That didn't happen, and then it was going to be in New York, and, of course, September 11 happened, and that was a very difficult time." Harrison died in November 2001 following a battle with lung cancer.
