Hannibal Script Swiped
16 October 2003A script for Hannibal donated by the hit film's star SIR Anthony Hopkins has been stolen from a hostel in Wales.
The actor - who played Hannibal Lecter in the grisly follow-up to SILENCE OF THE LAMBS - donated his copy of the film script to the YMCA hostel in Port Talbot, where he learnt to act as a youth.
This document and a picture of the actor were the only things taken in a raid on the hostel, but police advise the thieves won't be able to sell them.
An officer explains, "Auctioneers and valuers will want proof they are genuine."
